Who are they?

The Nominating Committee consists of the Clerk and 3 church members, one of which is elected annually from nominations made from the floor at the Annual Meeting in January. Each member on the Nominating Committee serves one 3 year term.

What do they do?

The Nominating Committee’s task is to fill vacancies on each church board and committee for the coming year. They have a list of how many positions need to be filled, they consider which church members are available to fill these positions, then they contact these members.

When do they meet?

The Nominating Committee meets on a regular basis in the fall; these meetings are determined by the Chairman - the committee member who is serving his/her third and final year on the committee.
