Milford Church’s Antique Show “MAY” be a winner

The First Congregational Church in Milford, NH celebrates the 51st anniversary of its annual Antique Show and Sale by making a huge change—we’re moving!  To the spring!   Saturday, May 22 to be exact, and we anticipate a strong response to this fresh, new format for one of NH’s longest running antique shows.   Moving the show off Brimfield Week is “sure to open some opportunities for us” says show chair Jim George.  “After 50 years, it seems time to take the show in a whole new direction.”

Joining us in this move will be new dealers Mary Jane Corliss of Lunenberg, MA with a nice selection of smalls and primitives; Lori Teahen from Teahen’s Treasures in Greenfield, MA with antique dolls, teddy bears, jewelry and more; Pat Morse from The Trunk Shop in Barrington, NH with restored antique trunks and antique furnishings.   With an eclectic collection of country and vintage antiques, we welcome two Bedford dealers, Bob Tarbell of Antiques at Laurel Hill along with Irena Wachs of Riddlebrook Antiques.   New England primitive furniture and period smalls will be featured by Leo and Linda Rauhala of Poor House Antiques in Milford and by Larry and Cheryl York-Cail of Cail’s Country Cottage in Amherst. If you are looking for quality prints, paper collectibles, and local ephemera, check out Jane Barker’s booth from the Re-Run Shop in Spofford Village as well as Jack and Sandy Fowles of Mainely Treasures in Litchfield. With a nice mix of quality textiles, glassware, and sterling, don’t miss Tom Copadis of Peter Wood Hill Antiques in Deering.  Other fine dealers include Joe and Carol Soucy of Bouquet House Antiques in Nashua; Shirley O’Meara of Bond Street Antiques in Hudson; Charlene Schrom of Ladybug Antiques in Amherst; David and Maricel Sysyn of Eastview Ephemera in Greenfield; and Janice Brewster of Brewster Antiques in Temple. Representing From Out of the Woods Antique Center in Goffstown are Donna Welch and Barbara and Bob Rotondo of Methuen, MA . We are happy to once again welcome our longtime dealer Dottie Dwyer from Hayloft Barn Antiques in Chester.

Reaching our 51st year would not have been possible without the heartfelt support of our parishioners, our dealers, and our customers.  We are proud to be one of New Hampshire’s longest-running antique shows and proud that the proceeds from the show continue to support our church’s work in the community.

Come join us pond-side for a late breakfast or lunch, featuring homemade soups, sandwiches, and our famous salad plates as well as our delicious desserts. Buy a raffle ticket and win one of the many antique raffle items being donated by our show dealers. Make Milford your first stop on the New Hampshire 101A Antique Trail.

Please join us at 10 Union Street in Milford on Saturday, May 22.  Early preview will be from 9am - 10am ($10 donation) and general admission 10am – 4pm ($5 donation). For further information and directions to the show, call Jim George, Show Chair, at 801-1338 or visit us on our website: www.firstccmnh.org.
