The Lyceum is TONIGHT! ... See MoreSee Less

Terry Lorden, of New York City, co-founder and producer, will present a Lyceum program retrospective of Playhouse 101. The playhouse was the first professional summer theatre in Milford, born in 1971. A Milford native, Terry created it with Roi White, then Head of the Theatre Department at Plymouth State College. For three summers, (before outgrowing the site), Playhouse 101 was housed in the First Congregational Church Parish House, offering a multitude of plays, musicals, kids' specials, and an art gallery. Terry will give his perspective on this remarkable piece of history in the town of Milford. And indeed, many locals as well as professionals were involved with its tremendous success. Working together with Church Historian, Bonnie Gondola, Terry has been assembling a lasting archive on this topic for the Church's Historical Room. In addition to his presentation, some of the materials will be available for viewing.
