Conference Delegates

Who are they?

Delegates to the Hillsborough Association of the United Church of Christ and to the Annual Meeting of the New Hampshire Conference of the United Church of Christ, consist of the Pastor and, currently, 3 church members. Each member serves for a one year term with a limit of three successive terms.

What do they do?

  • They attend the annual state conference of the United Church of Christ.
  • The conference is Friday and Saturday and the delegates stay there overnight. Lunch and supper is provide on Friday, and breakfast and lunch is provide on Saturday.
  • They vote on resolutions during the business meeting and they attend workshops.

When do they meet?

The Conference Delegate will attend the  annual meeting of the New Hampshire Conference of the United Church of Christ.  They are also required to attend the Annual Meeting of the Hillsborough Association of the United Church of Christ which is the first Sunday in May and also any other special meetings that may be called by the Hillsborough Association or the New Hampshire Conference.
